Profiles in Leadership: Nastassja FinneganAlways 'Sell' Security to the Business, Says First National Bank South Africa CSO
Drawing on her experience selling cybersecurity products and services, Nastassja Finnegan now sits in the hot seat, serving as cybersecurity officer of South Africa's First National Bank. Succeeding in either role, she says, requires interfacing with users, understanding their needs and helping them to do the right thing.
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Finnegan discusses:
- Articulating technical risks and impact on a business unit by business unit basis;
- The importance of change management and proper user awareness and education;
- Securing supply chains.
Finnegan is the cybersecurity officer responsible for running information and security operations for FNB, one of the five major banks in South Africa. She has more than 12 years of experience across the cybersecurity domain and is a key contributor and connector to the security community, both locally in South Africa and internationally.
