Leveraging AI for EDR Solutions

ReaQta's Serge Woon on Using Automation and AI to Streamline EDR
Serge Woon, worldwide tech sales leader and co-founder, ReaQta, part of IBM

The aim of AI in EDR solutions is to streamline the process to ensure humans are able to consume and understand the data in order to respond well, says Serge Woon, worldwide tech sales leader and co-founder at ReaQta, part of IBM.

So far, however, the industry has not been able to leverage AI in the right manner, Woon says, and he gives his reasons why. "Most of the time when we look at AI, there is this huge computational brain that is sitting in the cloud, consuming and taking data from all the data points and customers," Woon says.

"The problem with this kind of AI is that it is merciless. So there is no way you are able to tweak the AI to your liking. You are at the mercy of what this big brain is trying to tell you."

Previewing an upcoming roundtable discussion, Woon also discusses:

  • How the endpoint market must leverage AI;
  • How ReaQta differentiates itself;
  • Why leveraging AI in the right manner is important.

Woon, who leads worldwide tech sales for IBM Security ReaQta, is based in Singapore. He is a cybersecurity veteran focusing on enterprise security architecture and risk management.
