Walker advises enterprises to use open-source methodologies and technologies in order to gain a better understanding of their environments.
"We need to get into a place now where the big corporates are running open-source intelligence scans against their own environments" to understand their weaknesses and the vulnerabilities before criminals become aware of them, he says
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Walker discusses:
- The state of cybersecurity today and what differentiates 2021 from other years;

Walker is a visiting professor at Nottingham Trent University and serves on the advisory board for the Kent Interdisciplinary Research Center in Cyber Security - KirCCS - at the University of Kent. He formerly served in Royal Air Force in security and counterintelligence.
