Are Security Tools Slowing Your Response?
Arbor Networks' Sam Curry on How to Get Ahead of the Bad GuysWe all realize that the black hats are typically a step ahead of the white hats. But do we accept that our own security controls are contributing to the deficit? Sam Curry of Arbor Networks tells how security leaders can regain their lead.
In a video interview at RSA Conference 2016, Curry discusses:
- Why security controls are slowing our response times;
- How to change that dynamic;
- How, then, to measure the results of your security deployment.
Curry brings 20 years of experience, where his focus has largely been on the intersection of deep technology and solving customers' problems, to his role as Arbor Network's chief technology and security officer. He leads the development and implementation of the company's product strategy and innovation roadmap. Previously, Curry was with MicroStrategy, where he held the roles of senior vice president of information security and CISO. Prior to that, he held a number of significant roles at RSA, including CTO for identity and data protection and CSO.
