Still Time to Participate In Healthcare InfoSec Study

Hackers and insiders - take a back seat. The cyberthreat that is front and center for many healthcare information security leaders these days appears to be their business associates.

At least that's what respondents have been indicating so far in HealthcareInfoSecurity's fourth annual and ongoing Healthcare Information Security Today survey.

While business associates taking inadequate security precautions for protected health information is perceived to be the single biggest threat facing many healthcare organizations, based on preliminary survey results, a majority of responding healthcare organizations say their business associates did not have a breach involving their data in 2014.

What Do You Think?

So, has your organization had a breach involving a business associate over the last year? And are the security practices of your business associates even among your top information security worries?

There's still time to provide your input for our annual survey taking place online. We've just extended our deadline to Wednesday, Jan. 14, so tell us what you think.

The Web-based research study was created by Information Security Media Group, publisher of HealthcareInfoSecurity, with the counsel of top healthcare and security experts; it's sponsored this year by Caradigm, (ISC)² and ZixCorp.

So be a part of the research now by taking part in our survey before it's too late. And be sure to look for our in-depth analysis of the final results, including a webinar featuring a panel of experts, in the weeks to come.
